4-Year old children are ready to build positive social relationships with peers and adults and actively explore, order and understand the world around them. Play is their primary vehicle for understanding the world around them.
Children play alone and with friends. Through play they act out new and familiar experiences, and begin to relate to the world around them in a
meaningful way. Our goal is to nurture the whole child—to help each individual student grow and learn in several basic areas:

actions and words appropriately

and using playground equipment
**Develop fine motor control by writing with
crayon, markers and pencils, painting with large
and small brushes, stringing beads, manipulating large and small blocks, puzzles, and play
dough and using glue and scissors appropriately
**Move creatively to different types of music
**Begin to develop eye-hand coordination
**Begin to develop ball skills in play

**Speak and express ideas in a social group by asking questions, retelling stories, role playing, and participating in creative play

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York.
I grew up near the beach, one of my favorite places
to be! I moved to Maryland in 2010. I am in love
with its varied geography.
My parents are from El Salvador. Spanish is my first
language. I have 3 sisters, one brother, and many
plant babies. I live with my family in Middle River.
We have a dog named, Bella. I am excited, soon to
be an aunt to a baby girl.
I graduated from Notre Dame University in
Baltimore with a degree in Early and Elementary
Education. This is my 10th year teaching and my
6th school year at FHNP. As a lifelong lover of
nature, l am grateful to teach at a school that
promotes children connecting with nature. I am
excited to share my passion with your child!
When not teaching you can catch me spending time
with loved ones. I love to be outdoors! I enjoy
camping, hiking, the water, and traveling to new
places. I am a social butterfly but also love to
disconnect from the world and get lost in books. I
am an avid reader so feel free to share your favorites reads.
