Enrollment & Registration

At Forest Hill Nature Preschool and Childcare new student enrollment is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for all programs. New student/waitlist enrollment begins at the end of January each year.

Our enrollment year for preschool students is from September-May.

Infants and Toddlers can enroll at any time given availability in their age-appropriate class, they are not limited to the academic year.

Our 3s, 4s, and kindergarten classes are limited to 20 students per class, per day. Our 2s classes are limited to 12 students, Toddlers are limited to 9, and Infants are limited to 6. 

New students will be accepted until the roster for each group/program is full.

Students in any program may enroll part-time (2-4 days/week) or full-time (5 days/week).

Students in our Preschool programs (2’s, 3’s, 4’s) have the option to enroll half days/AM (8 AM -11 AM) or full day (8 AM - 3PM).

Infants and Toddlers may enroll part (1 - 4 days) or full-time (5 days) but they must be scheduled for full-days ( 8AM - 3 PM).

Each child entering the program will need a completed Emergency form and a completed Health Inventory form. The Emergency form is completed by parents and must be reviewed each year for changes. The Health Inventory form must be completed by parents and the child’s pediatrician. Transferring these forms from a past program is sufficient, provided that they were completed and signed within the past year. 

Student registration forms must be accompanied by a $150 registration fee to hold your child’s place in the program. The registration fee will be used to fund our in-house enrichment programs, classroom supplies, and field trips. 

Once registration for a particular class has reached its maximum, we will provide a waiting list for those who still wish to enroll students in the class. The waitlist may be filled out via the form below or by contacting the school directly. There is no charge for adding your child’s name to the waiting list. In the event a space opens up, we will contact families on the waiting list in the order that we received waitlist request forms. If you are on the waiting list you are welcome to call the school during business hours to check on the status of your waitlist placement. 

If you are contacted from the waiting list regarding an available placement you will have up to 5 business days to contact the school, confirm your interest in the placement, and submit your child’s registration form. Failure to contact the school or submit your child’s registration will forfeit your child’s placement, and we will move to the next name on the waiting list to offer placement. 

Families with children currently enrolled in our Infant programs will not need to re-register for continued care year to year. 

Families with children enrolled in our Toddler or Preschool programs will have the opportunity to re-register for the next school year in advance of the public registration period. 

Re-registration information will be sent out in December, current families will have until the end of January to secure a space in the program for next year. Parents may request specific classes in the preschool until all placements in the class are full.
