Señorita Jinny is our Spanish Teacher and she visits each class every week.
Every week we feature a different theme for our Spanish lesson.

¡Hola! My name is Señorita Jinny and I am so excited for my third year teaching Spanish at FHNP. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and I moved to MD back in 2017. I've been working with kids since 2014 and is one of my favorite things in the world. I love jesus and I have the privilege to work with the youth. I love to sing and i am blessed to be part of my church's worship ministry. I am also part of the missions department ministry at my local church. I also have a Podcast with a friend called Denuedo where we share the Gospel.

We celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the kids, and we learn about different Hispanic People who had an impact in our community. Frida Kahlo, being one of them, the kids learn how her paintings are unique and part of her. I love teaching about Frida and one of our activities is to draw on our faces a unibrow remembering her words "Why do I need legs to walk when I have wings to fly" The kids got their unibrow painted on their faces. Frida's unibrow looked like wings of a bird.
